Yep, Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) has managed to ditch his family again, this time getting on the wrong plane and ending up alone in New York while they are heading for Florida. And, armed with dad's wallet, he enjoys all of life's luxuries at the Plaza hotel until he runs into those two inept burglars Harry and Marvin (Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern) once again. Unfortunately, what worked in the first film is not quite as entertaining here — instead of defending himself against the bumbling criminals, Kevin takes a great deal of glee in being maliciously abusive to both of them and, for an abandoned child, he does seem remarkably unshaken. Still, as slapstick escapism goes, this is well-engineered stuff, though it could have been so much better (and more believable) with a bit more heart.
Virtually a re-make of the first film, though the humour has a far more unpleasantly sadistic edge to it. This undistinguished comedy was among the biggest box-office successes of 1992.
This routine sequel has a trio of nice cameos, but no surprises. Through mix-ups, Kevin (Culkin) gets detached from the... read more on Time Out
I have seen this film more times than i can remember, it is in my opinion the greatest childrens film ever, i am now 22 and still love to watch it!
It is a very Christmassy (if thats a word) film and also Home Alone 2 brings that true New York Christmas to your screen!
If you havent seen Home alone 1 or 2 watch them both, Macauly Culkin is one of the most fantastic child actors ever, he's definetly up there with the likes of the lad from sixth sense. Hope you enjoy!
this one was as funny as the first
Fantastic Film, My 7 year old daughter loved this movie, she was laughing all the time, Good Family film
this one was as funny as the first
If you liked Home Alone 1 you'll like this. It's pretty much the same film! Star rating is a 'weighted family average' based on children (5) to dad(2 at best)

This film is very good and funny. It is very similar to the other home alone films but still enjoyable to watch over and over again. My faverioute part of the film was when the robbers were trying to get into Alex's house. This is a good film for anyone with a good sense of humour.
Apart from the fact that nothing comes close to home alone 1 & 2 with Macaulay Culkin, this isn't a bad attempt at a funny remake. My kid's think it's fantastic, and that's all that matters really! Watch number 4 for a funnier version!
A lot better than Home Alone 4 - The scene with the electric chair is hilarious as is the one where the burglar has a rat in his pants, but these are just two of many funny clips in this great family film.
Great family film with lots of funny moments which the kids love. Nice to watch to get you into the christmas spirit. Kids just want to keep on watching this one.
Good one to get you in the christmas spirit added bonus the you will end up with tears of laughter! A Good giggle!
Excellent
this film is great it is almost as funny as home alone 1 exept it is practicly the same
