    honour the brave

pretty good movie, but maybe a bit too flag wavy for some, however this doesnt bother me at all, just dont go looking for a black hawk down rival here & you shouldn,t be too letdown, a worthy title even if its just there to make up the numbers in your rental queue

    About the Brave

Its quite easy to say this film is long, boring and just about the 'Gung Ho Americans' but at the end of the day the story is the same for any serving soldier. Each person having served in any armed conflict can be affected by post-traumatic disorder, its just more at the fore front of peoples minds because of the publicity given by the media in todays news. What these people had to deal with has happened in WWI, WWII and may more conflicts and wars around the world. It portrays what they went through, what they suffered afterwards and the lack of help or understanding from their friends, family and government.

I felt moved by the way each person was portrayed and the difficulties they had when trying to reajust to civillian life. Having gone through that transition myself, I know to some degree what they felt and dealt with.

All I can say is, until you have tried the forces life in battle or stressful situations then don't knock the film. Its a pity that the British didn't make the film first.

On the whole a well acted and thought out film. Thanks for bringing home what actually happens and the support you don't always get, that is needed.

'Long live our band of brothers' we are one together.

The Vietnam War provided plenty of cinematic ruminations on the futility of battle and the struggle of returning soldiers to adjust to normal life.
