A HOOT!
By a customer from England , 19 Sep 2006[Highly rated reviewer]
This film based on the fabulous book 'Hoot' is a great adaptation of the book. The story line is gripping and original. It presents issues in a humourous and entertaining way, while still addressing the actual problem. It is nice to see a movie in which the teens are obsessing about something other than the prom. I loved it!- Was this review helpful to you?

(35)Good fun
By Jes1 (3 reviews) , 12 Mar 2012Doesn't tax the imagination too much but good, clean fun.
Some enjoyable characters amongst the adult caste and the young stars carry it off very well without the sickly sweet goody-goody Harry Potter style stuff these films often descend into.
To be honest, the outcome is never in doubt, there is no real suspense (there are no real villains) but it keeps the attention and raises a few laughs.
Definately recomend it to parents of kids around 10 - 14 ages and adults who don't want to grow up.- Was this review helpful to you?

Good guys win every once in a while...
By a customer from Gainseville , 29 Mar 2010...full grown men get to learn from a child. (as the theme tune goes). Beautiful scenery of sunny florida and an inspiring message of conservation that we could all learn a thing or two from. If more people watched films like these maybe the world would be a better place.
The only downside is, that it really makes you want to go to Florida and stroke some manatees and owls that live in holes n such.
Also, Jimmy Buffett features his music throughout the movie and I recommend that y'all check out his relaxed calypso/country tunes.
A great film for kids and adults a like and a reminder that we should cherish and protect the wilderness and wildlife that surrounds us all over the world.- Was this review helpful to you?

By Richrubble (12 reviews) from Falmouth , 17 Jan 2010Generally a bit lame. My daughter who asked for it even found it a bit dull. Harmless family viewing though.- Was this review helpful to you?
