Fifties Frightener ?
By Neville Kelley from Abergele, North Wales , 20 May 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
When it was released this was one of the British horror films that people talked about, now it seems so tame and pointless - never mind though, it's all over in 117 minutes- Was this review helpful to you?

Tetris
By a customer from Abingdon , 07 Dec 2008Inexplicable cheescake moments, rampant misogyny, some of the most wooden acting I've ever seen and some very inventive and grisly deaths along with a truly bonkers closing shot: quite the little curiosity.
Most interesting of all: watch the screen in the mad scientist's lab and tell me if this movie wasn't the inspiration for Alexey Pajitnov in designing Tetris: all the shapes are there.- Was this review helpful to you?

Some poor acting but quite charming
By a customer from Bristol , 02 Jul 2006Quite an odd little film. Having watched a fair few British 60s & 70s horror films, particularly the Amicus 4-parters, I was not prepared for the almost complete lack of gore and the terrible acting. The 60s and 70s ones at least usually have more shocks and some decent performances. I am also still puzzled as to why there was a character doing a 3rd rate Marilyn Monroe impression and dancing badly in a pub. Shirley Anne Field's acting is some of the worst I can remember.
The plot was decent enough though, even if it ends very suddenly. Michael Gough is supremely arrogant if a bit OTT. There's also Geoffrey Keen, who was in some Bond films as a minister.- Was this review helpful to you?
