Would you like a smint ?

I was absolutely wowwed when I saw the first one, Saw with a proper story and couldn't wait for this emerge in cinemas. I liked this one better than the first as it (for me) had quite a comical side and particularly found the scene of Axelle's fate highly amusing. The film seemlessly clipped in with the first and didn't take long to get gory.

However, this didn't last, and the pace quickly slowed (a bit of a quick fix for Hostel 1 fans). The rate of the movie was disappointingly slow to begin with and after a while a was wondering when it was actually going to get to the nitty gritty.

Nevertheless, what follows made it all well worth the wait. I loved this film so much I had to return to the cinema with friends, and the 'build-up' was necessary and my opinion changed and it's probably made my all-time top 10. Some very convincing acting from all involved make this truly believable (you never know!!).

I think this film is definitely better second time round. Nostrovia!

putrifying cack

Hostel part 1 was a good film so I though this may be worth a watch. The first one had sick gory bits with the achilles slashing and knee drilling which was great viewing. The second film is quite frankly utter drivel. Its the exact same theme as the first film except they have ruined the storyline and added annoying American women into the picture. I was happy when they were executed, although the inventive nature of the torture was replaced with unneccessary gallons of blood and not much more. Plus, the executors were musclebound pillocks from the States. The only good bit was the castration, but to be honest, being a man that cannot save the film for me. Do not watch this film if you liked the first one, and if you havent seen the first one - never even think of getting this film out.
