[Highly rated reviewer]I was absolutely wowwed when I saw the first one, Saw with a proper story and couldn't wait for this emerge in cinemas. I liked this one better than the first as it (for me) had quite a comical side and particularly found the scene of Axelle's fate highly amusing. The film seemlessly clipped in with the first and didn't take long to get gory.
However, this didn't last, and the pace quickly slowed (a bit of a quick fix for Hostel 1 fans). The rate of the movie was disappointingly slow to begin with and after a while a was wondering when it was actually going to get to the nitty gritty.
Nevertheless, what follows made it all well worth the wait. I loved this film so much I had to return to the cinema with friends, and the 'build-up' was necessary and my opinion changed and it's probably made my all-time top 10. Some very convincing acting from all involved make this truly believable (you never know!!).
I think this film is definitely better second time round. Nostrovia!

Sick againBy MJJackson (40 reviews) from South Yorkshire , 15 Oct 2010It still makes me wonder how people can think of such new and sick ways of tormenting people good film if you saw the first you'll probably like this worth a rent.
Not as good as the firstBy a customer from Bromley , 29 Sep 2010Didn't really find this scary.
It was good to see the other side to the story but I found it very medium and not as good as the first. The effects were quite good and some of the deaths were gorey and at times disturbing to watch.
I really prefered the first film!
Not as good as the first oneBy a customer from Surrey , 18 Sep 2010After the excellent Hostel it was always hard to keep the pace, but this film disappoints. It started slowly, and was pretty obvious, albeit there is an unexpected twist towards the end - albeit nothing that unexpected really.
Acting was OK, but the whole thing just took an age to get to the inevitable gore fest which itself was lacking in ambition. Anyone liking Hostel should probably watch it to make sure they are not missing out, but really its nothing to rave about.
Just like the first oneBy sarahjolley (43 reviews) from Wigan , 13 Sep 2010This was pretty much the same storyline as the first. The difference being this time its girls that are targeted and you also get to see the behind the scenes of the scheme.
Was still as gory, and with a slight twist at the end. Worth a watch if you enjoyed the first one.
