[Highly rated reviewer]I thoroughly enjoyed this new series, the actors are all superb, especially dexter fletcher and the rather gorgeous natalie mendoza
the well paced script and good interaction between cast and guest actors all add up to great enetrertainment, well worth watching.

Up-Market "Crossroads"By a customer from London , 08 Jul 2009For those who are old enough to remember 'Crossroads', this is an up-dated and up-market equivalent. Raucous music, which you have to keep turning down to avoid being defeaned, is an obvious negative. Other 'cons' are represented by so-so scripts and some really irritating characters (though well acted), such as the female manageress and head receptionist.
In fact the only real 'pro' is a truly gorgeous Phillipina actress called Natalie Mendoza. Why haven't we seen her in anything else? Now, if only they could put a bonus disc together featuring all her scenes, THAT would be worth watching.Otherwise, don't bother. It beats me how this ran for several series. If I were a TV executive I would have had enough half way through the pilot (if there was one).
SLICKBy a customer from Chorley , 05 Feb 2009There are few relatively modern TV series that I rave about but this is one of them. It is on a par to SPOOKS and HUSTLE and runs along like an oil slick - really smooth. The characters and storylines are good, tinged with both drama and humour. I like the London flashes and music also which makes it a great package.
Unfortunately after the second series there was some prime changes in the leading players and it started to fall a little flat.
But I am currently watching the second series and that is a s good as the first. Great entertaining stuff.
SuperbBy gsingh13 (2 reviews) from Stockton-On-Tees , 21 Apr 2008I dont know what this guy Northernsky is on because i've never heard such complete rubbish in my life. How would he know the acting is lazy. dont listen to people like him who really don't have a clue and are just mouthing off. the series is brilliant. it has well written scipts, its fast and its slick and it will entertain you. rent it and you wont be dissapointed.
Cool and funkyBy sulkyblue (21 reviews) from Ealing Common , 07 Sep 2007When did British TV get so cool and funky? I thought Hustle may have been a fluke, but Hotel Babylon backs up the trend. Once again it's a wonderfully slick series with amazing production values shining through in the editing, design, music and the beautiful cut scenes showing London. It's a lot of fun to watch, always managing to fall the right side of farce and silliness. If anything it's the drama that occasionally becomes a little melodramatic, particularly the last 5 minutes or so of the series. I hope that's not a sign for the next season, as it left a bit of a bad taste in the mouth. But the other 475 minutes were absolutely wonderful.
Special Features: There's an energetic and interesting commentary on the first episode that reveals a lot of behind the scenes bits and bobs and some of the philosophy that goes into the show's creation. There's a good collection of little featurettes as well which are a little gushing in places, but enjoyable to watch.
Much Better than I first thought it was going to beBy a customer from Southampton, England , 24 Aug 2007It took me a while to relate to the characters and get the hang of it, but I am now hooked and looking forward to seeing some more. Story lines are good, acting is convincing and I love the glamorous surroundings,
