Strictly half-term fodder it may be, but this amiable kiddie flick delivers on its promises: you get lots of dogs doing... read more on Time Out
Not really worth paying £5+ per person to see at the cinema (Luckily I got the tickets free though a Pets At Home promotion). Its a film that should have really just gone straight to dvd. It could have been a fantastic film, as its got a great storyline - a hotel for stray dogs run by a few kids. But it just didn't hit the spot. At only 1 and a half hours long, I got the impression it was aimed at young children under 8, rather than dog lovers of any age.
The dogs were very cute, and extremely well trained, and there are a few laughs here and there. The acting was good also. I thought it was worthy of 3/5 stars.
Recommended on dvd.

Andi and Bruce (Emma Roberts and Jake T. Austin) are a couple of strays themselves, orphaned siblings who are currently housed with foster parents Carl and Lewis Scudder (Kevin Dillon and Lisa Kudrow) – their fifth set in three years. It’s not a warm relationship.... Read more
