This film is rather appropriately titled. You don't really understand the story because it makes little sense. You don't really know why the acting is so bad. You don't really know why such an 'A' list cast could have agreed to make such a terrible film. I'd have expected so much more from the likes of Witherspoon and Nicholson. They serve a purpose, but there is very little depth in their characters. I don't want to include a spoiler, but let's just say that one of the main episodes in the film bares very little relevance to the rest of the film, although I think it's suppost to be important! It's not that the cast/crew/writers/director etc haven't tried to acheive a well connected storyline, it's just that they never quite succeeded. Now, as for the ending... Some films are clever enough to be able to pull off the 'It-doesn't-quite-finish-but-you-know-what-happens ', but there really should have been a proper conclusion written in for this one. It ends. You can imagine what happens, but the dialogue and the action in the last couple of scenes is so weak that you really feel you are left empty and craving something more. Sorry, I really wasn't impressed. It's not terrible, but I won't be rushing to watch it again anytime soon.- Was this review helpful to you?
