    Surprisingly Good

I don't normally like the Japanese style cartoons, but this is very good. Having the voices of Christian Bale, Billy Crystal and other english speaking actors and actresses made it more appealing.

The story was strange yet enjoyable, basically a young girl is turned into a old woman by a witch and goes to work as a cleaner onboard a wizards moving castle! Sounds stupid but it makes a change from everything else.

lovely gentle film - really enjoyable

i really enjoyed this film, no sex, swearing or gratuitus violence

The dreaded Witch of the Waste turns Sophie, a young hat-maker, into an old woman who then attracts the notice of Howl, a young wizard whom the witch desires for herself. Sophie has to find the witch while avoiding her family to get changed back.

Sophie is now an old woman and becomes a cleaning lady in Howl's magical castle, an totally cool (if filthy) wonderful place. Imagine a room where you open the door and there's something different each time. She meets a grumpy fire demon named Calcifer. Howl's courage inspires her to seek a cure for her curse, and vice versa, and the two work together to prevent a major war as the castle roams the countryside on its mechanical legs. There's time travel through barriers of space and time.

if you liked this you will LOVE Miyazaki's previous work spirited away
