Director Mahesh Bhatt's romantic drama stars Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla in a tale of conflict between family responsibility (a dead sister's children and business) and true love (a runaway tycoon's daughter). Bhatt squeezed in four more films during 1993, as well as regular television work, but he is still best known for the 1984 movie Saaransh. The title translates as We Are Travellers on the Path of Love.
HUM HAIN RAHI PYAR KE is a little known gem. Aamir Khan and Juhi Chawla are superb, and even the kids (most notably the young Kunal Khemmu who is now a rising Bollywood actor) are also very supportive in their respective roles. A loving family entertainer with some good songs. Not fantastic, but this is one Indian movie you wouldn't want to miss!
