Those who enjoyed the teleserial Ramayan with all those glittering costumes, get ready for a modern day epic. Mohnish Behl, stepbrother of Salman and Saif is chosen by his father Aloknath to succeed him as the Managing Director of his company. Mohnish's stepmother becomes insecure and wants Salman to occupy the post. Mohnish with his wife Tabu imposes exile and retreats to his native village along with Lakshman, Saif. Barath, Salman assumes his post reluctantly without occupying the chair, literally.
Theres no Ravan in this Ramayan.
After the initial half where theres a lot of family gettogethers and functions, the latter moistens your eyes endlessly.
