After leaving mod icons The Small Faces, guitar virtuoso Steve Marriott started Humble Pie, a band that experienced no small degree of success in its own right. The band's visionary blend of hard blues-rock set a musical template for a number of acts that followed, including Paul Weller. This release captures their live appearances on German television from 1971-1972, performing such classics as "Natural Born Boogie,"Sad Bag of Shaky Jake," "Alabama 69," and "For Your Love."

You get two black and white TV tracks, plus one from Beat Club and a long accoustic version of For Your Love (which shows Stevie's vocals off well - but doesn't exactly justify the title 'Rock On'). In my opinion this DVD comes close to misrepresentation, i.e. only 4 tracks in total with the rest of the 70 mins. play time being made up of 10 'samplers' from other people (with a 'sales pitch' rolling across the screen). If I had bought it I would probably demand my money back. I am about to try 'pack of three' (Stevie's last band) - which I hope will be better - I will let you know.
Very disappointing DVD for such a great band. None of the 4 tracks showed Humble Pie 'Rocking'. Worth a quick look, but you will probably send it back the same day as I did.
