LOVEFiLM Review
-
By Tom Charity from LOVEFiLM
Spike Jonze's short film is an unlikely tale about a robot love story.

Empathic masterpiece
By HGibson (5 reviews) from Glasgow, Scotland , 21 Mar 2010[Highly rated reviewer]
A beautifully directed, and captivating short film. I'm Here combines the elements of a classic love story together with an overarching theme of the power (or responsibility) of giving and sharing. As well as this, the style and premise of the film is wonderfully unique, set in an alternate world where the differences (i.e. robots as citizens) aren't even the subject of the film. A must-see for anyone who likes heartbreaking yet heartwarming stories about the power of love. Spike Jonze has done it again.- Was this review helpful to you?

(4)Quite depressing
By lexikon (1 review) from Ammanford , 25 Mar 2010Not something to watch before you goto work as its quite dark , never really understood the point other than the femmebot being a type of succubus ? Seems like an idea that never develops further than an idea- Was this review helpful to you?

Cute, funny and cool
By a customer from London , 24 Mar 2010Lovely little film that doesn't take itself too seriously and gently balances romance and quirkiness. Brought a lil' tear to my eye...- Was this review helpful to you?

Beautiful but flawed
By Ben from Vancouver , 23 Mar 2010The problem I have with this short is that there is no change in the protagonist. There is no transformation, and no character arc. Ultimately it is a simple, and predictable, portrait of a situation, beautifully and sensitively rendered, with a 'neat' device, but one-dimensional non-the-less. I think this is the reason why it is not as emotive as it might have been.- Was this review helpful to you?
