Excellent Low Budget Thriller

What 'I Know You Know' lacks in budget it certainly makes up for in the drama department in this thriller based on the director's relationship with his own father. Both Robert Carlyle and the boy Arron Fuller are excellent. If you are off a sensitive disposition the ending will also probably make you cry!

if you ever wondered whatever happened to robert carlyle,here is your answer. a shame really. just another dull british crime pic. avoid!!!! avoid!!!!!

Absolutely dire. I wouldn't recommend it all, poor acting, weak storyline and weak filming, I wish I could find something good to say about this one!

Robert Carlyle recently was reported as having said that he was staying in the US as he was 'fed up of making British art films seen by ten people'. To be honest, other than for the money I cannot think of a single reason why he accpeted this British art house role in the first place. Obstensively this is a story of someone decending into mental ill-health brought about by a series of events and circumstances which are slowly revealed throughout the film. However, Carlyle underplays the part using the Bondesque character for comedy and pathos. The end result was OK but only just. I only hope that the aforementioned Mr Carlyle finds better parts and more energy in Hollywood.

I didn't know but it was worth it anyway!

This film is based on a true story, Kerrigan's experiences with his own father. You need to know this before you sit down because it is NOT a thriller/action film it is 'just' a look at the disintegration of a man and the effect it has on his son.

It is a VERY slow starter but worth the effort from the point where Jamie starts to understand what is really going on (if necessary fast forward!). It is a quiet but touching film...if that is not your cup of tea then don't bother :-)

Weak story line yet I enjoyed it. Robert Carlyle is such a good actor that he made his character quite believable and the area filmed helped make this film very good.
