Old Fashioned Screwball ComedyBy a customer from London, England , 24 Feb 2004
[Highly rated reviewer]The plot of this film recalls the screwball comedies of the 30s - smart, tough-talking girl rookie reporter outwits womanising older male reporter -who sets out to beat her by getting the big story first. And although at first they deny their attraction to each other, they continue to be thrown together as they escape assassins, uncover double dealing at Government level, and continually try to sneak the story from under each other's noses.
It's none the worse for paying homage to the classic comedies. In fact it's quite refreshing to see a film which is genuinely smart, funny and suspenseful. There is real chemistry between the two leads, and you can believe in them as a couple. The script is witty, and keeps you guessing, and for once, the leading roles are equally strong for the woman and the man, and both characters are likeable and engaging. One for a Friday night in!

averageBy sloppydog (7 reviews) from Kingston upon Thames , 30 Sep 2009not as good as your top notch Julia Roberts and nick nolte stuff because again let down by a mediocre script but still worth a watch
Quite Entertaining.By a customer from Cheshire England , 29 Sep 2007I quite enjoyed this - what is it a thriller, comedy, romance or what ? It certainly was not one of Julie Robert's best films and the
chemistry between Julie and Nick Nolte as two rival newspaper reporters was not as potent as it was with Richard Gere in 'Pretty Woman' and Hugh Grant in 'Notting Hill'. I don't think I would go out and buy it.
I Love Trouble.By Cornetto (959 reviews) from Lancaster , 21 May 2007Romantic Comedy starring Nick Nitle and Julia Roberts. There's a scoop to be got and a scandal to expose. Who will get it first. Julia Roberts was good and the story was entertaining. Watchable and worth the rental.
Very enjoyableBy a customer from Slough , 18 Oct 2006Glad I watched it. I thought it predictable in places, also full of cliches, but I felt well entertained.
enjoyableBy Marie Ratcliffe from South Yorkshire, England , 23 Jul 2006Enjoyable, funny film, with a touch of adventure, dectective work and just enough stunts to keep you watching and wondering. Though I must say that J.Roberts has done better films. As with most films some parts are predictable. But well worth a watch
