If you like deep thought provoking films, films that challenge you, make you question your deeply held beliefs then this film may not be for you;
But if your tastes are considerably more easier going and from a film experience you want fun and a good few laughs a long the way then 'I Love You, Man' should be ticking all the right boxes for you.
If you enjoyed 'Forgetting Sarah Marshal', 'Role Models' and 'Knocked Up' then youre almost guaranteed to enjoy this one.
I thought it was brilliant, fairly original and left me having left the cinema happier then when I had entered.
I have to admit, as a woman I am sick and tired of the repetitive, monotonous female rom coms Hollywoods churns out. I was REALLY surprised with this movie: it's 100% feel good geared towards the male market but the female market will certainly enjoy it. Like the previous reviewer said it IS original, but it is NOTHING like the movies mentioned (Knocked Up etc...)and I'm glad that it isn't. It actually felt good to watch the whole male bonding thing happen(as compared to the usual boring female drab).I enjoyed this film for all sorts of reasons: it was funny, quirky,original and a breath of fresh air.
Brilliant acting from all concerned, and for once all the actors and actresses looked normal (translation: they did not look stick thin as everyone seems to look in flicks these days !). If you're looking for something different to watch that will leave you feeling perky and in a sunny mood, watch this. You'll be glad you did.
I saw this film last week because my girlfriend really wanted to see it. I was a fan of Forgetting Sarah Marshall and as there was a familiar cast I thought the film would be worth seeing.
The trailer for this film does not do it justice, Paul Rudd is hilarious as a nervous, giddy guy who just wants to make his wife happy and Jason Segel balances things out with his hilariously laid-back satirical attitude and him and Rudd are of a great partnership.
The film never shies too far away from the love story but at the same time you're not drowned with it which is refreshing from a RomCom. It is silly, but not too silly and all in all the whole team on this film did a great job balancing it all out perfectly. I laughed throughout the film and so did the majority of the audience around me.
Definitely see this film if you liked the humour of Forgetting Sarah Marshall. I have a feeling this will be very under-rated.
this DVD was very funny we loved it you must see it

This film was such a feel good hilarious film, the story line was just bizzare about a man who has no friends who trys to find a best man for his wedding and goes on man dates! The acting is brilliant and you don't get a bit bored at all. I was a bit apprehensive about going to see it but after hearing brilliant reviews I had to give it a go. It actually had me laughing out loud a must see film!

With a rating of 7.5 on imdb.com and good ratings on here I thought this film would be a lot funnier than in actually was; don't get me wrong, it's a good film but not as funny as other things the two leads have done.
The plot line is straight forward and a unique idea with the film plodding along nicely as the story develops, but personally this wasn't much of a laugh out loud comedy such as similar films like Knocked Up, 40 Year Old Virgin and the brilliant Superbad.
This film is worth a rent as it is sure to entertain even if the laughs are a pretty thin on the ground.
My husband and I both quite enjoyed this. Quite a few funny bits but most of these were shown on the trailer. Good lighthearted entertainment.
I went to see this as a preview, took my Sis as I thought it would be a bit girlie. It was really good & I know my hubby would find it hilarious, so I am going to rent it so he can watch it, & I can see it again!! Must see...
This film was average for me. I wouldnt go rushing out to get it though.
