Nostalgia rules

Being a fan of the original I Spy series, and also being horrified by the recent big screen re-make, I was happily suprised to find this long overdue re-visitation easy watching.
Obviously a feature length pilot that was intended to launch a new younger version.
As always the repartee between Cosby and Culp was the main event, with the youngsters and the action adding only mediocre background. Not a great film by any means but probably well intentioned, only 3 stars for nostalgia and what is remembered........Try Hickey & Boggs?- Was this review helpful to you?

(3)NICE VIDEO, SHAME ABOUT THE TUNES
By TheApiarist (10 reviews) from Bracknell , 27 Sep 2011As a fan of the original 60's series I was keen to see how well Cosby and Culp would manage the action now that they're getting on a bit. While they leave most of the tough stuff to their kids it was good to watch the two old guys back together again. The whole thing is very much TV movie standard but was enough to keep this nostalgia freak happy.
Why only three stars then? Well, the music is dreadful, sounds like one man in his bedroon with a Casio keyboard, so I knocked off a star. Believe me, it really spoils the movie, which is a shame.- Was this review helpful to you?
