  Ice Age and Madagascar star Cedric The Entertainer has made his directorial debut with a new movie about a musical martial art. The actor/comedian, who also appears in the film, directed Kel Mitchell, Kat Graham and comedy pals Tommy Davidson and Rodney Perry in Dance Fu. He says, "It's about a kid who is a choreographer and he has to avenge his uncle's death and he realises he can't fight unless he hears music, so he has to learn the art of dance fu." Read more

  Fox Animation may be languishing well behind Dreamworks, Aardman, Disney and Pixar as far as brand recognition goes, but the popular Ice Age franchise and last year’s hit Horton Hears a Who! suggests that the studio is doing something right. Subtitled “Dawn of the Dinosaurs” (nonsensically: it’s set after their supposed extinction), Ice Age 3 is strictly surplus to all natural storytelling requirements.   Toy Story named top animated movie

  Toy Story has been voted the best animated film of all time by movie fans. The Disney classic, featuring voiceovers by Tim Allen and Tom Hanks, beat out competition from Shrek and The Lion King, which were named second and third favourites respectively. Fish adventure Finding Nemo came fourth, while Ice Age was voted fifth in the survey of 4,000 film buffs.
