    You're as cold as ice

A young girl who dreams of becoming an Ice Dancer, goes behind her families back and learns to do what she wants to do. My daughter saw this one and she said that it was very good. Not really for adults, but a normal disney kids movie for a Sunday afternoon watch.

    Live your own dream

Ice Princess is a sweet tale about a scientifically-minded teenage girl (Michelle Trachtenberg - Buffy's sister) and her dream to become an ice-skating champ. It's a lovely film good for the whole family. Kim Catrall (Sex and the City) as the trainer and Joan Cusack (often forgotten comedy genius sister of John Cusack, playing it straight here) as her mom are great. As teen coming of age movies go this is good and wholesome entertainment where women are doing it for themselves!

    Lighthearted entertainment

This was a family film for a wet sunday afternoon. Basically it was about a girl who was living her mums dream and realised that it was not what she wanted and tries to do both hers and her mums. Finds she has lots in common with the popular girl too which was unexpected. definately recommend.

Science Dork turns Figure Skating Champion in this feel-good teen movie

If you fancy a night in with a film that doesn't really need brain power, doesn't include bad language, violence or major sexual references then this could be for you.

Also contains some good music - the sort you notice during the film and end up humming afterwards!

    Extras included:

    - Actor commentary (1* - not really any interesting info given)

    - Deleted scenes (3* - not that many)

    - 2 Music Videos (4* - feel good music that leaves you humming afterwards)

    Brilliant!

When I first watched this film, I thought, yeh its going to be predictable, and although it was, the ice skating that the stars did was amzing. I know that they didn't do some of them, but Michelle Trachtenberg did do most of those moves herself. The skating was brilliant, and almost mesmerising as they did all those jumps, and turns, and you can sometimes start to worry if they are going to fall over, its that good.

    Really lovely!

Everything I could want. Beautiful iceskating, moving storyline, a few uplifting morals. But most of all a really enjoyable touching film. I was rapt throughout

    Well done.

I got this for my young daughters and we all ended up watching it. It runs on a very well worn formula, but entertaining nonetheless in a TV film sort of way.
