A lot of things in this film are really stupid, but the comedy is in the irony of the future people who are so stupid themselves that they find it hilarious. If you don't get the irony or realise the consequences of dysgenics and anti-intellectualism then you probably won't get this film.
It isn't just a satirical black comedy, but also a stimulus to make people think about the dumming down of our society and what happens if global corporations are left unchecked ... than is, if they can still think!
I quite enjoyed this. Okay, so it wont win any awards for realism, or plot depth - the whole thing is so blatantly ludicrous. But in a strange kind of way it won me over, though it's hard to say exactly why. But if you sit down and watch it, accepting your going to be wasting 80 minutes of your life on something a little bit silly, and just accept it for what it is, you may just like it.
A forthcoming film featuring Luke Wilson and Kate Beckinsale as a couple who stop at a creepy hotel has been described as a "strong thriller" by an online reviewer.
