This is one of a wonderful series of Mozart DVDs recorded in the 18th century Drottningholm theatre in Sweden - completely period from the musical instuments to the special effects.
Wonderful change from 21st century CGI effects, car chases etc.
If you like Mozart it is throughly recommended pleasure - rent it (as we did) or buy it.- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer from Brighton , 26 Feb 2009Wooden period flutes are fine but wooden acting, amateurish acting, terrible sets, an orchestra uncomfortably wearing 'authentic' wigs -- nonsense! Orchestra plays out of tune. Don't waste your time.- Was this review helpful to you?
