same old cliche

Although i found this film very enjoyable - its the same old cliche, a happy ending for all (pretty much) but i do like those hence my rating. I wouldnt class it as a film which you would only watch if u were gay/lesbian, it just involves two women falling in love with each other as part of the story line and shows a great deal of acceptance of the lesbian culture without going overboard on stereotypical things or involving sex scenes to pull more viewers. All in all, an easy going, good watch, with some comedy and a happy but predictable ending.- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer , 28 Feb 2013Loved this film, my husband liked it too. It is a rom-com with a twist. I don't know what some people expect from this fim- it does what it says on the tin. it is an easy watch. The two main characters played by Piper perabo and Lena Headey have great chemistry and their acting is good throughout. The cast is great, it's just a typical British comedy.- the love interest just happens to be between women, which is very positive. You know how it will end- they all end happily don't they. If you like light hearted, undemanding films this is for you. If not don't bother!- Was this review helpful to you?

By a customer , 03 Feb 2013Lena Headey and Piper Perabo kissing so I'm not sure what attracted me to this film..... Nice and silly with a great happy ending. What else do you want when its raining outside. Piper Perabo is an american who would have guested it. Great English accent. Heartwarming with a few tears

Imagine watching this on a Sunday afternoon.

It has a very strong cast, and is a sort of second rate Notting hill. It's a bit different in that the ROM Com theme is a lesbian romance for a change. I quite enjoyed it but it is just cheesy light entertainment-nothing more. Can't believe some of the 5 star ratings though-what would they give Notting Hill then on that basis???- Was this review helpful to you?
