If you think you're going to see the comedy of the century, as billed, you're SO very wrong. This horror film with gratuitous death scenes it is NOT a comedy. There's a few jokes which incite a few giggles and maybe one good laugh...it's rarely funny and there's WAY too much blood and guts for it to be called a comedy!!

  • A tale of redemption

This is a fantastic film. The beautiful city of Bruges is the backdrop to a tale of violence and revenge and comes to represent the triumph of good over evil. There is a feeling of Greek tragedy about this film, in which events move at a slow pace to their inevitable climax. The acting is superb.

  • A black comedy, thriller that doesn't rely on action, sets and gore

This film was recommended to me by a friend, and described as a black comedy. I was apprehensive at first, as I'm not a big fan of black comedies. However, I was very pleasantly surprised, enjoyed the wit, performances are top notch. I'd recommend it if you don’t mind foul language, violence and irony. It's nice when you don't expect much from a movie and it delivers more.

Enjoyed it. Excellent story line, good casting. The morals of the criminals believable, the twists and turnes of the story unfolding, made it for us.

Excellent film, a fair bit of violence which I don't usually like, but acting very good (especially Colin) and story compelling. my husband and I both enjoyed this film a lot, which is rare - and there was some great comedy in there too.
