In Memory of My Father

The adult children of a Hollywood mogul decide to take drugs, screw around and film the entire thing for posterity. These individuals are so injured by life they can't help but wince from and lash out at any attempt to connect. The youngest son has been bribed by his estranged father to videotape dad's death and the subsequent aftermath. The subsequent wake consists of the family gathering together while it is falling apart in every other sense. Some doses of ecstasy, some well-timed comic barbs and those damn cameras all further exaggerate the drama of their lives. Collected all in one house, the family will have a little love and lots and lots of screaming.

Starring Christopher Jaymes, Judy Greer, Jeremy Sisto, Nicholle Tom, Christine Lakin, Pat Healey, Eric Michael Cole, Monet Mazur, Matt Keeslar, Meadow Sisto, Todd Rulapaugh, Tom Carroll, David Austin, Andrew Henry

    Disappointing!

I was really looking forward to seeing this film as I liked the title and the synopsis appealed to me but it was a sorely disappointing viewing experience. The film felt messy and unstructured and I did not find any of the characters compelling in any way. This is no 'story', There is no compelling protagonist or antagonist. I struggled to make myself watch the whole thing, constantly hoping the film would get more interesting but it never did. It felt like I was watching a random series of uninteresting characters having pointless, random conversations in different rooms in this big mansion. I really wanted to like this film but it was very boring and did not move me in anyway and I did not care about any of the characters. I really regretted renting this film!
