    Justice to the Subject

    It is rare nowadays to find a documentary that does not surrender to the modern idiom of third-rate reconstructions and inexpert opinion. This is a wonderful examination of Beethoven's life and his genius and is thoroughly recommended to anyone wanting to learn more about the man and his music. Be warned; this is serious stuff for grown-ups with a thirst for knowledge but it is readily acccessible; you don't have to be either a musician or a composer to understand it.
