Travelogue series following the comedian and writer as he journeys through the land of his fathers. Comedian and writer Sanjeev Bhasker presents a uniquely personal journey through India, highlighting the many contradictions of a land where the new world collides with the old, where the technological revolution sits alongside the plough, and where the lifestyles of millionaires play out against a backdrop of grinding poverty. On his journey he revisits relatives, learning first hand of the dark days of partition, but also explores the new India, one of rising world status and unlimited ambition, reflected in the glitz and glamour that is Bollywood.

A great documentary with the lovely Sanjeev. It combines looking at new India with a good historical thread.
I could hardly wait for disc two to arrive after finishing disc one. Each disc is packed full with wonderful scenery, excellent presentation, and they are not to be missed. Sanjeev takes us on a fascinating journey through India, showmg us real people, rich and poor, across to Pakistan (oh those goose-stepping border guards!) and back over to the Eastern Indian coast in about four hours. I wish there was a third to watch.
