Infestation - A rollicking good ride
By Monkeymanbob (25 reviews) from Folkestone , 08 Oct 2009[Highly rated reviewer]
One reviewer writes that you should never show the monster at the begining of a film - piffle. There are plenty of monster movies where we see the creature at the begining - and if it's a rule, well rules are meant to be broken.
Infestation has jumps, laughs and action, and for the low budget the fx work just fine. I'd rahter be straight into the action than spending 45 minutes listening to lame dialogue and wondering when something is going to happen.
It's not going to win any Oscars, but if you want a dumb fun movie to enjoy with a beer then look no further than Infestation.- Was this review helpful to you?

(46)A Simple Fun Monster Movie
By CarnageAce (58 reviews) , 05 Mar 2013Its a simple fun monster movie, if you like the genra its definitly worth a watch. It made me smile, worthy of, if not better, than other so called 'B' monster movies.- Was this review helpful to you?

Definitely worth a look, unless you don't like silly giant freak films!
By psarg (2 reviews) , 03 Mar 2013Surprised that I enjoyed this film, the acting is hammed up to suit the style of the genre but done well, the script is fine and has some genuinely funny moments, just take it for what it is and you'll probably enjoy it. There are far worse films out there in this genre, this one is watchable and fun, I laughed out loud a few times. Wouldn't say you'd love it, but you might enjoy it. It's ridiculous and implausible, but then are all giant freak movies? Worth a watch if you're ill in bed like I am.- Was this review helpful to you?

Good but has TWO endings
By adlad (3 reviews) , 20 Feb 2013I found this very similar to most low budget comedy horror films in the sence a 'second' unexplained and unrequired ending comes in to replace a perfectly good gone. Apart from that, a good film.- Was this review helpful to you?

Does What It Says in The Trailer
By Fishpaste_42 (5 reviews) from Nottingham , 23 Jan 2013This is an example of a good, solid genre film that raises itself a little above the ordinary by careful borrowing from other films of the same type. You've got the crawly creatures from Eight Legged Freaks crossed with the post-disaster location-shooting vibe and comic social/family tensions from Shaun of the Dead. The result is cheerful and engaging, and despite the odd plot hole it bounces along at a fair old pace with just enough heart to keep you engaged with the characters. I enjoyed it immensely at the time; on reflection I wish they'd tidied up a couple of the bigger plot holes, but on the whole it's still miles better than most other low-budget fare in the same genre. Watch the trailer, and if you like that, you'll like the film.- Was this review helpful to you?
