Inglourious Basterds begins in German-occupied France, where Shoshanna Dreyfus (Mélanie Laurent) witnesses the execution of her family at the hand of Nazi Colonel Hans Landa (Christoph Waltz). Elsewhere in Europe, Lieutenant Aldo Raine (Brad Pitt) organizes a group of Jewish soldiers to engage in targeted acts of retribution. Known to their enemy as "The Basterds," Raine's squad joins German actress and undercover agent Bridget Von Hammersmark (Diane Kruger) on a mission to take down the leaders of The Third Reich. Fates converge under a cinema marquee, where Shosanna is poised to carry out a revenge plan of her own...

this looks like a very good film and i can see it doing very well. it is a war film and its well worthe watching the traler it is shaping up to be better than saving privat ryan(worth watching).
This is one of those films that proves if an individual has any taste in film or not. It is truly fantastic throughout every aspect. From being visually superb to being full of suspense, a great story and strong performances, this film is perfect.
Anyone who is saying that this film is bad can be regarded as a fool and ignored immediately as these are the 'I'm not going to watch a film with subtitles! I want to be entertained, not read!' crowd. Their opinions must be deleted from all sources immediately.
A Tarantino film is always a notable event, even when (as with his last, Death Proof) it turns out to be a non-event for most people. I mean, at least it was a spectacular non-event.
