My daughters (10&11) really enjoyed this film, bit scary in places, must see for the youngsters!

  • Clever Story

We watched this as a family and my kids aged 12 and 9, absolutely loved it. The story was clever and surprising and was different from other films we have seen. Definitely worth a view.

  • What a great fantasy film

Yes we enjoyed this film. In our 50's now but we really loved the film. Books brought to life - a genuine fantasy film for those who appreciate the 'reality' of book life.

  • A children's film. I expected too much.

If you're a Brendan Fraser fan you will love this film it's right up there with 'The Journey to the Centre of the Earth' and directly underneath 'The Mummy Returns; The Dragon Emperor'.

This is a family film for children, do not expect anything mythologically inspiring.

  • Too complicated for very small children and lacked depth for adults

Very slow and did not feel attached to the characters, really did not care what happened to them. The old dear in it was a bit funny.
