Good choice by Farrell...
By snipper1 from Surrey , 28 Feb 2005[Highly rated reviewer]
This is the Irish Trainspotting for me, what a great film. Brilliantly observed script, humour, drama and a touch of romance. The characters were very likeable particularly easy to relate to. It was great to see that the bright lights of Hollywood had not completely blinded Colin Farrells taste and eye for a good script. Unfortunately i think this film wont get the praise it desreves as the marketing has not been there but nonetheless, this is a definite to add to your rental list.- Was this review helpful to you?

(100)A Drive On The Wild Side!
By BaronessVonMunchausen (6 reviews) , 12 May 2012A fast paced, exciting and amusing 'fillem'! Colin Farrell likes to give us the shock element, which we experience in the opening scene and he succeeds! The other characters slowly fall into place as we follow their lives.
Very well scripted if you are not too concerned about the language. Find the modern day morals, there are a few to discover embedded in the violence and the action.
Well worth watching.- Was this review helpful to you?

wonderful edgy black humour
By a customer from Ludlow , 28 Nov 2010I loved this film, it is a purely subjective review as I love anything Colm Meaney is in. I enjoyed the humour and the interlocking stories, chaotic lives of the characters and the eventual outcomes of their actions and choices.
Not a film for everyone, but I would still recommend it.- Was this review helpful to you?

Rubbish Little Thing...
By EricaC (5 reviews) from Worcester Park , 23 Mar 2009I was told to watch this film by a bloke from Galway that I had watched In Bruges with.
'You like In Bruges? Watch Intermission... You'll be amazed... It's exactly what Ireland is like. In fact - I am going to sit next to the telly and watch your reactions'.
I'm glad he didn't do that. It would have been distracting and he would have mostly spent his time watching me updating my ebay account on my laptop.
Such good actors.... I wonder if they all had a tax bill to pay and they thought .. 'you know - we don't get to spend much time together anymore now that we are all famous... lets spend a couple of months in Dublin for the craic'.
But sadly - the only script around was this dreadful piece... but they had all got brilliant deals on amazing apartments and couldn't bear to lose them - so needs must.
Don't waste your time... there is nothing positive to say about it.- Was this review helpful to you?

Intermission
By Melinda (26 reviews) from Charlbury , 24 Feb 2009It has got so many great reviews, so based on that I wanted to see it too. For me it was kinda a pointless movie, i didnt enjoy it but didnt hate it eather; must say it was really boring. I would say there are better movies to watch, but some people really loved it; so i guess its just the question of taste...- Was this review helpful to you?
