Worth a watch
By rachaelknight16 (108 reviews) from Derbyshire, England , 03 Sep 2012Good story about good cop vs bad cop & how you get what you deserved.
Gere plays the bad guy extremely well; very different to his normal romantic characters. Very believable & comes across sly, but charismatic able to manipulate just about anyone - except for Raymond & Amy!
Loved Travis' part as she brings a little humor to the very flat, Raymond.
It shows Raymond's obsession increasing very dramatically throughout, and exploding at one point.
Wouldn't say this film blew me away but it was a good watch.... you never do find out where the knickers come from!- Was this review helpful to you?

Don't try and drink alcohol when watching this -it's too complicated!
By Bobsview (554 reviews) from Gloucestershire , 30 Apr 2012A good crime thriller , and one of Richard Gere's best performances. I won't attempt to summarise the plot as there is a 7000 word limit on these reviews. Suffice to say that it is a complex fast moving good cop, bad cop scenario with Gere off the scale in his bent antics and capers. Good action movie and my score would be higher but for how difficult the plot is to follow as the film progresses. In the middle of the film there is a Rambo /Tterminator style shoot out with machine guns and by then I had really lost it in understanding who was who , but thankfully as the film progresses further it does get a bit easier again to follow .A classic-but I recommend to read a plot summary first.- Was this review helpful to you?

Character based film
By Harv (40 reviews) from London , 13 Oct 2009Richard Gere is great and it's an interesting play-off between him and Andy Garcia. It's a really good character based film that time has forgotten. One of Gere's best roles.- Was this review helpful to you?
