The proposed historical drama Borgia starring Scarlett Johansson and Colin Farrell has been called off. It was director Neil Jordan's second attempt to get the project off the ground. Four years ago Ewan McGregor and Christina Ricci were lined up to star in the film but the necessary budget could not be raised.
