(10)Very Moving
By a customer from Surrey , 29 Apr 2008Heart warming yet sad collection of stories from those German (and some Czech) children who were given permission to leave Germany and its annexed areas and find refuge in the UK. Very moved at the genuine gratitude these elderly men and women showed for the UK taking them in. I bet not many people are aware of this and it is something we should be proud of.- Was this review helpful to you?

3 stars
By maz93 (1 review) from Wirral, Merseyside , 02 Feb 2008This is no doubt a powerful movie, and worthwile if you don't know much aout the holocaust. Still being in school, though, it seems a lot like a classroom history video (old footage, then interviews, etc) but it is still a really good insight of those who lived through this horrific period in history.- Was this review helpful to you?

A Classic Documentary
By Tom Parker from Derbyshire , 28 Sep 2006An exceptionally wellcrafted documentary, both video and audio were faultless, the German language soundtrack fading into English so seamlessly that both languages almost merged into one.- Was this review helpful to you?

Not a film - a documentary
By a customer from essex, england , 16 Apr 2005Although I was disappointed at first to find this was not a film as such but a documentary, I watched it and found myself moved at each personal rendition of the holocaust. Gives you a very close understanding of how individuals were affected and makes you think how lucky you are!- Was this review helpful to you?
