I saw this when it was aired on TV a while back, I'm a fan of Matthew Settle (Band of Brothers). What an amazing series, beautifully shot, well acted and truely gripping story!

I have heard for some the story drags a little at the start and there are many characters to get to grips with and it's easy to confuse the characters as they are getting older. The combination of costumes, sets, great acting and the use of original languages make this EPIC series stand out for me.
