    THE YARDSTICK !

This was Maiden first endeavour into DVD. It is filmed in front of 300,000 fans (how many bands would like that number of fans ho ho) and the result is truly magnificent. The show is theatrical. The performances immense. The songs legendary. The fact this was edited by Steve Harris and Johnny B is a credit to them as we all know Steve's quest for perfection and total value for money for the fans. You can see that having an editor that KNOWS every song as well, as one of the actual performers, cannot be beaten as nothing important is missed. This is worth every penny. Watching this in true 5.1 is like having a ticket. If this is their first attempt I cannot wait to see what the 'Dynamic Video Duo' come up with next. even if you are not sure if you will like the music ... rent it ! The show is fantastic. All we need now from Maiden is a DVD of a full stage show and not a festival with the festivals own lighting and stage design. bring on Dance of Death DVD. A true yardstick in the LIVE DVD market.
