(498)Very average
By Jantb (2 reviews) , 03 May 2013Very average. I watched this because I hadn't seen Iron Man 2 and wanted to go and see Iron Man 3. Having watched this, now I'm not sure I can be bothered to see Iron Man 3. I know this is based on a comic book hero, but the main characters (Stark and Hammer) shouldn't be comical. The plot was poor. Mickey Rouke was the only creditable actor there.- Was this review helpful to you?

IM1 the better movie
By Routemaster (87 reviews) from Cambridge , 24 Apr 2013Sometimes sequel's don't hit the mark and this one did in parts but felt it was not as good as the first installment of Iron Man. Felt the plot was hard to get too engrossed by and didn't really get going in the same way as IM1. OK hence the average rating, but wouldn't go out of my way to see this again.- Was this review helpful to you?

An overlong prequel to Avengers Assemble. Very disappointing
By mattecky (46 reviews) from durham , 13 Apr 2013[Highly rated reviewer]
This is not a patch on the first film and seems more like a bridging film building up to the superior (but equally too long) Avengers Assemble.
Downey Jnr is going through the motions and the baddie portrayed by Mickey Rourke is disappointing....I mean I cannot remember an action film where the villian is despatched so easily?!
This would have been immeasurably better and more exciting if at least a half hour was edited from it- Was this review helpful to you?

A thorough disappointment.
By Hortensius (5 reviews) from Durham , 03 Apr 2013I really enjoyed the first Iron Man film. But I only got through the first half hour of this before turning it off. Very weak!- Was this review helpful to you?
