Most helpful review
not animated enough
By Manthing from London, England , 22 Oct 2004[Highly rated reviewer]
unfortunately, these 60's cartoons are for die-hards and collectors only. the animation is minimal, almost static, and most of the cartoon is of a narritive style.
disney studios had the money and manpower to do it right. marvel and the tv stdios didn't.
good to see it once, but i'll never return to it.- Was this review helpful to you?

talking comics
By a customer from the Avengers Compound , 10 Jul 2005A bit of an oddity these shows. They're really something for the nostalgic and those interested in comics history - I fit in to both of these catagories and knew beforehand what they were, but I feel that many should be warned, they are not recommended for those drawn to the characters by 21st century movie versions
The Marvel Superheroes shows of 1966, (Sub-mariner, Captain America, Mighty Thor and Iron Man are all available - they also made some of Hulk, but they weren't yet released at the time of writing), are actual panels from the original comics of the early 1960s combined with some very basic animation, (a sort of paper ventriloquist act), and cheesy theme songs.
For those who are interested, this volume contains the Invincible Iron Man strips from issues of TALES OF SUSPENSE.- Was this review helpful to you?
