    Good film, left me confused

I watched this film, not remembering anything about what I had read of it previously, so I thought it was going to be your basic married man has an affair plot, but I was wrong.

An interesting film, that holds you throughout. It has a nice twist at the end but I have to say the very final scences did leave me a little confused, and the alternate ending did not help either.

Whilst I would not watch this film again, as it would not be the same now I know 'why' I would recommend it to others.

    Sarandon's always irresistible

On the surface this film suggests a run of the mill 'wife knows something is up but nobody will believe her' plot but this belies a more serious subject matter that is handled in quite an interesting, low key way. However, I think if it had been anybody but Sarandon playing the lead in this film it could have taken a big nose dive. There are some interesting little 'getting to know you' scenes between the two females in the film that, until the end of the film, you don't see the full meaning of - can't say anymore or it would ruin the twist! Once the real story is revealed the profundity of the issue is quite sad and disturbing.

    An OK suspense film

I would class this film in the same catergory as The hand that rocks the cradle etc.

I liked the fact that you didnt have to watch it for 30 mins before things started happening it starts straight away.

Nothing challenging, easy watching ,as I have stated an ok film

    Keeps you watching...

Not the most amazing movie I have watched ~ but it is one of those that you feel the need to keep watching ~ just to see the outcome. Which after one surpsrising twist you find all is not what it seems.

    Well worth a look!

    Very Reasonable

After the first 15 minutes we weren't that convinced, but then the story started getting more and more interesting and intriguing. It is hardly a pacey film, but it certainly has a good few twists to keep it going along nicely enough. Definately a decent evenings viewing, and well worth the rental.

    yeah

This film was liek two films in one. It started almost like a boring soap opera , I was expected to be bored, bad bad music choice, silly blockbuster style characters like from 27 (or whatever the number) dresses, but then it became a bit freaky , but good freaky, complete change of plot, suddenly the characters had more depth to them, no more annoying music, and of course S.Sarandon was great as alway, I loved her confused and I loved her angry and yeah- it was pretty good afterall!

    Worth watching

I wasn't expecting much from this as a bit of a low budget Australian movie, but it turned out to be a pretty interesting and much overlooked film.

Emily Blunt is a fantastic actress and I hope to see a lot more of her in future. Susan Sarandon and Sam Neill were brilliant as always.

The story starts off like a kind of slightly creepy horror movie, moves on to become a reasonably twisted thriller and kind of ends up somewhere in the intense drama genre, so it was certainly different.

I thoroughly enjoyed it apart from the ending, which was a bit weak.

    Poor Man's Fatal Attraction..

Low budget Aussie offering, tries to be Fatal Attraction but no tense moments or edge of the seat tension...yes, there's the twist in the end others have been talking about but what the hell, the film ends with a feeling of unfulfilled experience, good acting by Susan Sarandon didn't help either. Other viewers seem to have liked it a lot and they have their reasons for it, but sadly this film can't decide if it's a drama, thriller or just a low budget Fatal Attraction. I don't mean to be too harsh, perhaps it's not too bad for an evening's viewing but you'll probably forget about it in a few days...

    Friends & Neighbours

Not a film for the mildly paranoid as this will send you over the edge.

This is an Australian Mystery Drama that starts off mildly enough but when it gets up a full head of steam - look out.

Is Sophie (Susan Sarandon) artistic but crazy, is her husband Craig (Sam Neil) having an affair with his gorgeous assistant Mara (Emily Blunt) or is it all a storm in a tea cup?

A truly gripping film with an excellent cast and an attentive writer/ director with a background in TV and a good eye for detail.

A worthy plot with some subtle scary moments and an ending that leaves a bitter taste in the mouth.

    Well worth the money!
