It's a wonderful filmBy InDevon (1 review) , 06 Dec 2013What a fantastic film. watched it with two boys 14 and 8. They loved it as much as we did. This film proves that a great story and great acting is far better than $100 million of special effects.
Watch this film at least once in your life!By a customer , 04 Oct 2013This is a great film, a real feel good one. I watched it nervously with my boys, nearly 14 and 12. But the older one classed it as decent! The colour version made it easier for them as they just don't get black and white. Glad I got them to watch it, it's a lovely story that everyone should see at least once!
Slow and safe but satisfying!By Sylverscreen (1 review) , 10 Jun 2013Films have changes across the years and this one is a good reminder of how they used to be. The plot is slow and our modern view means we have got the point long before the Actor says the line. As a fan of Red Dwarf (BBC Sitcom) I have always wanted to watch this as it was Dave Listers favourite film. Although it lacked the intensity and motion of other films I am glad I watched it as what it does have, in spades, is warmth and depth. Not a shock or climactic ending but a very satisfying one that should compensate for the films weaknesses. All things considered I have to advise you to watch and let it take you back to a simpler time!
Complete family viewing.By tealass (1 review) , 08 Jun 2013Loved it. Lots of meaning with funny parts. Any family would enjoy this fantasy of life with a happy ending.
classic weepyBy HelsBels45 (3 reviews) , 16 May 2013I've seen this film many times but amazed (whilst chatting about our favourite films) that my boyfriend has never seen this film so had to rent so he can see for himself what a truly wonderful classic film this is!
