With a title and a scenario worthy of Frank Capra, this cosy little romantic comedy is, incredibly, based on a true story. Nicolas Cage (reuniting with his Honeymoon in Vegas director, Andrew Bergman) plays a good-hearted cop who could easily be related to his baby-kidnapping character in Raising Arizona. Rosie Perez also gives one of her usual performances, shrieking the place down when she discovers that hubby Cage has divided his lottery winnings with waitress Bridget Fonda. Cage, Perez and Fonda are on top form and the result is both charming and disarming.

Rekindle your belief in human kindness with this down to earth 'warm & fuzzy' movie. Nicholas Cage proves how diverse his talents are, going fron a psychotic mobster (Face Off) to Charlie the caring cop from the Bronx. Bridget Fonda plays the down to earth waitress with aplomb. Best bits - the ideas they come up with for spending their big lottery win! Definetely one to add to your home dvd library.
A good film for all the family, glad to see something can still make me laugh!
