    [Highly rated reviewer]

First of all this film has a massive message it brings across to all those that watch it and is definatly a feminist film. However it wasn't just a 'power to women' kinda film with no storyline, It sticks to its plot and delivers without being aggresive.

It deals with life issues in a real way and it's believable charactors help the audience build up an understanding of what it's like to be them.

With a rocking soundtrack and a very punk feel the film it's one that's worth watching.

  • Great film- even if you are not gay

I'm not gay, but I really enjoyed this film. Unlike many so called'lesbian' films this one actually has a story and some substance. Good acting, enjoyable and a happy ending!

  • Actually Quite Enjoyed This!

I actually quite enjoyed this film. Melonie Diaz is a lovely lead and the acting across the board is good. The central love story is believable, which unfortunately is not always the case with lesbian films and the lesbian aspect is accepted from the get go - rather than the whole film being around the 'family coming to terms with it' bit, which is a relief - film makers should be moving towards this more.

The downfall for me is the whole activism/ feminist piece. It's a bit in your face, ranty and irritating - I think it seems immature for the age that the characters are supposed to be. It's also somewhat outdated in the way it's handled - more an 80's/ early 90's idea rather than 2007 when the film was made.

Overall though, I'd say this film is worth a watch - definitely not cringeworthy like 'Room in Rome'.

powerful film .. thought provoking, helping to break down the barriers of the male dominated world. liked the parallels drawn between how women endure cosmetic surgery, bound feet, face burkas etc all to feel more accepted.

Seriously boring with thoroughly unlikeable characters and chock full of cliches. It was an act of will to watch this through to the end. So disappointing, don't waste your time on this shallow nonsense.

I thought the movie was enjoyable throughout - it was entertaining, yet carried an empowering message for girls and women. Many lesbian movies I've watched are bad quality and have poor storylines, whereas in this movie the powerful message is combined with excitement and fun. The parallel with 'Fightclub' arises from the fact that both movies are about fighting the mainstream ideologies/society's assumptions. Itty Bitty even has female version of Brad Pitt in it - Daniela Sea. I was somewhat disappointed that the main character Anna ended up with deceitful Sadie - Aggie seemed so much nicer person for her and at the same time, I noticed chemistry/romantic potential from Meat - it would have been great to include her in the romantic affairs. I loved the music in the movie.
