Rags-To-Riches-To-Rags-Again !!!
By a customer , 13 Jul 2011[Highly rated reviewer]
This Review is for the DVD 'Spend Spend Spend', in this 'Jack Rosenthal At The BBC Collection'.
This sad, remarkable, true story about Vivian and Keith Nicholson winning £152,319 in 1961 on the pools and their total wanton, self-destruction, is one I have been fascinated with, all of my life.
I remember watching this play on T.V. during the 1970's and have always wanted to see it again.
Sometimes, the passing of time can leave a rosy picture in your minds eye, but this play is just as good and well written as I can remember.
I am really pleased it has now - at last - been released on DVD.
A true classic that should not be missed !!!- Was this review helpful to you?

(2)Bar Mitzvah Boy
By a customer , 03 Dec 2012Such a trip down memory lane. Like so many Bar Mitzvahs I went to in the 70s. I've now shown it to my pre-Bat Mitzvah daughters. Priceless!- Was this review helpful to you?
