Actor/director Tyler Perry is one step closer to landing his own TV channel after signing a deal with bosses at leading movie studio Lionsgate. Director Tyler Perry will be honoured at an upcoming Las Vegas film convention for "singlehandedly" changing the face of Hollywood. Tyler Perry will be honoured with the Chairman's Award at the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) Image Awards later this month (Feb10).
