Ashwini Kumar (Raj Kumar) and Rajeshwar Singh (Mukesh Khanna) were fast friends but different views clashed which led to misunderstanding between the two. Extreme differences turned them into sworn enemies. Innocent Suman (Karishma Kapoor) the daughter of Rajeshwar Singh and Ravi (Harish) adopted son of Ashwini Kumar were not aware of their father's enmity. Suman and Ravi loved each other but when Rajeshwar Singh came to know that his daughter Suman loved Ravi who is not from the noble family, he scolded her and forbade her to meet Ravi. In between Shobhraj (Prem Chopra) misguided Rajeshwar Singh and Ashwini Kumar. Rajeshwar Singh and Ashwini Kumar begin to fight to get down to each other. Ravi and Suman's love clashes between their father's fight. But they did not lose their heart, they confident of their love. At last their love won over hatred.
