Heathers-style black comedy about a trio of high school “It” girls, whose birthday prank on their best friend goes horribly wrong. Writer/director Darren Stein has a flair for striking cartoon visuals, but the plot soon runs out and the film's tone is excessively cold and cruel. What's more, the generic indie rock soundtrack and pop culture in-jokes that seemed fresh five years ago, are remarkably stale now. Its strongest asset is the bright young cast, headed by Rose McGowan's malicious super-bitch and Judy Evans Greer's convincing transformation from mousy nerd to sexy blonde bombshell.

    good but not great

jawbreaker is a mixture of teen chick flick, humour and a darker edge to it,

the storyline is good but the acting is a bit rough around the edges,

the ending was terrible i really wish they were a bit more original with that

this film is good to watch but easily forgot
