So bad its goodBy Welshslider (34 reviews) from Cwmbran , 09 Jul 2007
[Highly rated reviewer]Yes! This is one of those films that if you intend to sit down and take it serious then you are going to watch a bad bad film. Terrible script, the shark looks worse than ever and the acting is shameful (although the director surprisingly did a good job and there are some nice shots). If on the other hand you sit down with your friends while you have had a few too many and watch this you are in for a night of laughter. I mean a shark that is out for revenge!???
The tralier for this film says it all...'This time its personal'. You know you are on to a bad thing when the tag line is this cheesy.
So put this on your list if you are having a film night in with your friends and this will break the ice I guarantee it.

So Bad It's GoodBy RothofKhan (2 reviews) , 29 Mar 2013
THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideAs many have said already, this is the worst of the Jaws films, however it is definitely one of those 'so bad it's good films,' and actually more watchable than the incredibly boring Jaws 3. A lot of fun can be had spotting the obvious mistakes and plot holes in this sequel. The plot about the vengeful shark is ludicrous, and it makes you wonder what the writer was thinking when putting pen to paper to create a sequel to one of the greatest films ever made. If the plot wasn't silly enough, the mechanical shark is even stupider. Big, tacky and sporting somewhat of a grin, in some shots you can even see the mechanical guide rail protruding from its belly. It roars despite not having any vocal chords and is capable of remaining upright in the water in a feat of physical defiance. What's more, it only wants to eat members of the Brody family even when more convenient victims are in the water. Overall, a very daft film that I enjoyed more as a kid than when I was old enough to know better.
I would rather suffer a shark attack than watch this again!By Earthcop (2 reviews) , 11 Apr 2012
[Highly rated reviewer]There's 86 minutes of my life I won't get back. The only consistent theme is poor. Poor script, poor acting, poor plot poor special effects. It makes John Carter look like an epic. Avoid! Avoid! Avoid!
Jaws 4 worth a watch a big maybe??By a customer , 21 Feb 2012I used to like this film when i was younger must be honest but looking back on it, it is quite an awful film. So many mistakes involved and shocking things like the shark roaring is kinda strange, but overall worth watching just to say you have seen it

Jaws should get revenge on the film makersBy SarahBee (6 reviews) from Shoeburyness , 25 May 2011
THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS Show review anywayHideAfter the death of her husband and son Ellen Brody moves to the Bahamas to live with her other son. She believes the shark is after her family as she blames both her husband's death and her son's on the shark. That on its own is a bit of a stretch since her husband had a heart attack but never mind. Of course no one believes her and thinks that she is being paranoid.
This movie is just bad plain and simple it has very few redeeming qualities. In fact the only ones I can think of are Lorraine Gray's performance and the famous score which obviously came from the original movie.
This movie has so many problems to list them all could give me a RSI from all the typing. The main problem is the lack of shark. If your watching a movie called Jaws IV you expect to see a few shark attacks with a few human fatalities. In this movie you get two possibly three depending on which version you are watching.
The special effects were much better in the original Jaws movie despite being made nearly 15 years before.
The ending is just awful and doesn't really make any sense. You will see better editing on most YouTube videos.
I did learn that Ellen Brody's character must be a bit psychic as she could recall events she wasn't present at, I also found out that Great white sharks apparently roar and are prone to exploding when stabbed with wooden stakes, maybe they are part vampire.
I would not even say that this is one of those movies that is so bad its good like Jaws 3 was, this movie is just dull and poorly made.
But don't worry Sir Michael I forgive you and you're still a national treasure.
