Say No More!
By Mark Gobin from uk , 21 Oct 2009[Highly rated reviewer]
You can keep your Claptons and anyone else who supposedly changed the face of music. This guy has got it all and he does it when he likes and only then. Long live the beckster!- Was this review helpful to you?

(6)a guitar gig not to be missed
By chrischap (2 reviews) , 19 Oct 2012where to start? i've been a jeff beck fan since the early days 'blow by blow' did it for me in 1975, been picking up lp's then cd's ever since, but i gotta be fair its hard to believe this guy keeps getting better, this gig is so awesome, i find it hard to believe he's not on every guitar fans lips, but i believe he keeps himself out of the limelight, anybody out there who loves heartfelt playing with total precision rent this, i bought a copy straight after renting this disc, so many of my music hero's have fell by the wayside, but not beck, this guy is a hero up there with neil young, thanks love film for having this in your titles, i could of missed it, heaven forbid, bottom line if you like proper musicans without ego's rent this, RIGHT NOW, i give it 6 out of 5 stars. ps thank the lord for blu ray, cos it looks and sounds like your there. pps joss stone, imogen heap, and last but not least clapton rock- Was this review helpful to you?

Where's the bass?
By georgerunner (1 review) , 04 Mar 2012Beck's great, but I can't hear the bass.
Found this very disappointing, as it's superb otherwise.
The guitarist's guitarist I think.- Was this review helpful to you?

Phrasing like no other
By a customer from North East , 27 Dec 2010Jeff Beck has unique guitar playing technique, breath taking note phrasing and simply wonderful vibrato use. If you want to see how to express yourself on a guitar (his is guitar playing at its peak), press play.
Having said that, if you're expecting mainstream music, forget it, it is in Ronnie Wood's Jazz Club, after all, and there are some distinctly abstract moments going on. But stick in some astonishing support musicians and helpful cameos (not the main reason to watch it, Jeff Beck's playing is), and you've got a top notch performance. Well worth investing an evening in!- Was this review helpful to you?

Made it to 4th song, bought the DVD
By pjcox (22 reviews) from Oxford, England , 04 Oct 2010Simply amazing... I saw this available as a 'watch online' and as the subject line indicates, I soon hopped on the bus and went and bought the DVD. Jeff's musicality is breath-taking. Dynamics, intensity, waiting until hitting the notes enhances the feeling of the melody; taking risks to get there. Guitarists will appreciate his mastery of the volume control, slide, and whammy bar. The backing band is also at the top of their game. Rock and fusion jazz without the 'gnat notes' one sometimes hears. The interviews with the band and Jeff on the DVD reinforces what the concert shows, great respect for each other and generosity to make the best music possible. Oh yes, and it rocks like nobody's business!- Was this review helpful to you?
