Still Excellent!
This new DVD of Jim's is still as excellent as ever. I just got it today and even though most of the jokes are on his other videos he tells them differently each time and I still laugh my head off. However, this did seem to have an awfull lot of repetition and for the first hour or so I was thinking it wasnt as good but after almost exactly 1 hour of stuff I've heard before he told a joke/ story I hadn't heard before and I literrally nearly peed myself laughing (I had to pause the DVD and go to the toilet) and this made the DVD for me. After that for the last 30 mins or so it was mostly new stuff (well to me anyway).
Well worth a watch but certainly not his best - but still excellent don't get me wrong. My absolute favourite JD video, in fact my fav stand up video, is Jim's Silver Jubilee. That is defo his best in my opinion. I have seen it dozens of times and it still has me in stiches. Even tho most the jokes are on other videos of his that is the one to see them on. What makes so excellent is the audience participation, musical jokes and great songs that he just doesn't seem to do anymore. -
