Jimmy Carr - Live Stand Up Reviews

Over rated

Mildly amusing in places, but there are much better and funnier stand up comedians around. He reminded me of Tommy Cooper in places, throwing out bad one liners except that he didn't have any other redeeming features. Go for Jack Dee, Jeff Green, Dara O'Briain. Jimmy Carr should stick to his list shows on Channel 4.

It's all about the Extra's

If you have seen Jimmy Carr Live 1, prepare yourself for a slight disappointment - The stand-up show is SOME new stuff but quite a lot of his act from the first DVD which I was well miffed about. However, what you get with this DVD is possibly the most entertaining set of extra's I've ever seen on a DVD. There is a 45 minute Pop Idol style search for a support comedian act which is very entertaining, Jimmy's Comedy central stand-up special which is quite enjoyable & his interview from Top gear which is pleasant as well. If you haven't seen Jimmy Carr Live 1, then this DVD is a MUST for you, if you have; be warned about the main show but enjoy the extras.

This is one of the funniest shows I have seen in ages one of the few things that has made me laugh out loud in some time.Jimmy likes to pick out audience members and he dosent hold back.If you easily take offence avoid, parts can be a bit sick, some times some members of the audience seemed to take his comments to heart, they know his humour they should not have been there. Just as good as the first dvd. Give yourself a laugh rent both the dvds.standup 1 and stand up 2 you wnt be disapointed

Very Funny

I'm not sure what i expected of Jimmy Carr, he always looks so serious and miserable, so i didnt think id be into his stand-up act. How wrong i was, this was hilariously funny. Some great gags, uses the audience brilliantly - says at the start that its not for the easily offended, but tbh i cant really see how anybody would be offended, its all light hearted fun. The search for a comedian in the extras was a bit of a let down, thought that would be a lot funnier. Certainly well worth watching and even buying.

Brilliant

Jimmy is without a doubt the best new stand up from the last few years.He is funny on tv but his live shows are amazing.The difference is what he can get away with live on stage and on tv are a paramount of difference. Dont watch this or any of his live dvd's if u are easily offended.As jimmy says he doesnt know hwen he has overstepped the mark until he has overstepped it. The extras are excellent too

Brilliant

I really enjoyed this DVD. I haven't seen the other Live DVD so I cannot compare it. I thought he was really funny, and this proves what a brilliant comedian Jimmy Carr is.

JIMMY CARR, CARR, CARR, CARR, CARR

When I saw his first DVD, Carr was fresh and new. Whilst he remains one of the country's best current stand-ups, I just found this more of the same. Perhaps I've just OD'd on all his quiz show hosting / appearances and general propping up of all those 'list' shows. However, the guy has a lot of quality material and killer delivery.

I couldnt stop laughing on that dvd, its a really great anf funny film, worth renting it out.
